The mandolin driven midi guitar system called 'Mandolizer' was one of our first experiments.
The Mandolizer can play synthesizers connected to a pedal unit or it will input notes directly into music programs - reading the strings and frets used.

Our second system Roland VG8, does not generate midi messages.
It acts like a pickup but models amplifiers, cabinets, guitar bodies, effects and guitar pickup qualities

In Bluegrass the early masters of the mandolin set high standards of musicianship. Their tunes and solos are still studied and played.

Bill Monroe, Frank Wakefield, Bobby Osbourne and Jesse McReynolds all helped to set the Bluegrass mandolin scene.

Many players have taken their Bluegrass playing into other styles of music. Other great mandolinists have shown they can bring new sounds to the Bluegrass scene for examples Chris Thile, David Grisman, Andy Statman and Simon Mayor.
